Show Care, courtesy asked by all in going afield With warming weather and the outdoor seasons at hand, acting director of the Utah Department De-partment of Fish and Game, John E. Phelps, reminded all outdoorsmen to use care and courtesy whenever afield this year. Phelps said, "We join with other agencies and organizations organiza-tions in urging each person going outdoors this season to appoint himself custodian of the resources and facilities he may use." The director noted many growing problems as pressures on the outdoor resources increase in-crease from year to year. He noted only individual observance observ-ance of the laws and good manners covering these problems prob-lems would preclude more restrictive re-strictive rules and less freedom in the outdoors. All those going afield should keep the following in mind: Be familiar with the rules and regulations regarding fishing. fish-ing. Leave a clean camp, picnic site, stream or lake bank wherever you go. Observe the laws of trespass and .courtesy by gaining permission per-mission before entering upon private property. Signs should be read and observed ob-served wherever they may be posted. |
