Show COMING The remarkable achievement of Lerner and Loewe in creating the words and music of "My Fair Lady" is perhaps best evidenced by its incredible international popularity. pop-ularity. The music has been translated into more than 18 languages and complete recordings re-cordings of the score number over 72, not counting the plethora of individual songs. Two of the wonderful song numbers from the film are pictured here. Sixteen more ap pear in the film which opens at the Paramount Para-mount Theatre on January 25. Photo 1, Audrey Aud-rey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, the guttersnipe, gutter-snipe, who becomes a lady, sings the film's first big number, "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?" Another highlight from the show is depicted in Photo 2 where Stanley Holloway, who portrays Eliza's father, and his fellow pub-crawlers pub-crawlers sing "Get Me to the Church on Time." The film has won 8 Academy Awards. |
