Show Seventh, Fifth lead teams in M Men race Seventh Ward M Men and Fifth Ward are currently leading lead-ing the Springville Stake M Men circuit as the teams battle bat-tle down the home stretch to qualify for the forthcoming zone tournament the second week in February. Games will continue Jan. 26 with Ninth meeting Fifth, Fourth opposing Seventh and Tenth meeting Eighth, beginning begin-ning at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. Only one other night of play will follow these games. Ninth forfeited to Fourth in last Wednesday games. Fifth won a photo finish 51-50 victory vic-tory with a thrilling last second sec-ond shot by Thacker which took the game away from Eighth and gave it to Fifth, who was down 1 point before the shot. Nielson with 16 and Swenson with 10, led the victors. vic-tors. Hansen and Williams connected con-nected for 15 for the losers. Seventh had their hands full with Third, but overcame them 69-61 behind the fine shooting of Murray with 25, Jensen with 20 and Wimber with 12. Nelson for Third was high game scorer with 27.
