Show School student' to be thus nom-j inated. , Upon completion of the present school term, the Seals will be returning permanently to their home in Mapleton,' they report. j Student named alternate to West Point A former Springville High School student, Glen Herbert (Gee) Seal, son of Dr. and Mrs. Glen R. Seal, who are now residing in Grants, N.M., where Dr. Seal is assistant principal of the high school, has been nominated as an alternate al-ternate to the U.S Army Academy Acad-emy at West Point, it was learned this week. The announcement announ-cement was made by U.S. Senator Sen-ator Joseph M Montoya (D-N.M.). (D-N.M.). Nomination as an alternate means that Seal will be allowed allow-ed to take the entrance examination exam-ination for admission to the academy and an appointment will be in order if the individual individ-ual nnamed as nominee, does not or cannot enter. Emil Jackson of Grants, N.M. was reported to be the first nominee to be accorded the honor in the Grants,, N.M. area.
