Show City accidents high in '64; no fatalities According to a report this week of motor vehicle accidents acci-dents in Utah County for the entire year 1964, Springville is listed as having a total of 177 accidents with no fatalities fatali-ties 35 people injured and 142 receiving property damage, during the year. Spanish Fork had 126 accidents, acci-dents, one fatalatiy, 26 injured and 99 property damage. Payson was listed as having only 75 accidents, no fatalities, 13 injured and 62 with property prop-erty damage. Springville had the largest number of accdients with exception ex-ception of Provo and Orem, of any city in the county. Provo had a total of 1683 accidents ac-cidents three of which were fatal fa-tal with 431 injured and property prop-erty damage listed at 1249. Orem had 401 accidents which was considerably higher high-er than 'Springville according to the population. Nine people lost their lives in Orem accidents acci-dents and a total of 122 were injured and 271 had property damage. There was a total of 735 accidents ac-cidents in Utah County during the year with 18 fatalities: 256 injured and 463 had property prop-erty damage. Total accidents in the state was listed at 19,452 with 295 lives lost; 8,636 injured and 20,570 with property damage within the year. |
