Show Health improved by care of feet You're as young as your feet feel" is probably nearer the truth than youn think, according ac-cording to Dr. H. Arthur Mc-Aninch, Mc-Aninch, President of the American Amer-ican Foot Health Foundation. "Foot problems may sound trivial except for those suffering suf-fering from them,'' he commented, com-mented, "and best estimates available indicate that most Americans, young and old, are in this category." "What many of us fail to realize is that troublesome feet can be one of the causes of poor posture, backache, easy and early fatigue. These and other foot-related ailments do much to make you feel older than you are." Dr. McAninch recommended following several basic steps to keep feet in good condition. A daily footbath, using warm water and a mild soap; careful dryinf of feet, especially espec-ially blotting between the toes, and using a good foot powder; applying olive oil or creams to dry skin; avoidance of wearing wear-ing tight garters; refraining from "bathroom surgery" for corns, calluses and ingrown nails and seeking professional care when indicated. |
