Department Director, Harold Har-old S. Crane, observed, "we join with other agencies anc organizations in urging eacl person going afield during th outdoor seasons to appoinl himself custodian of the resources re-sources and facilities he mas use." The Director noted manj growing problems as pressures on the outdoor resources increase in-crease from year to year. Ht said only Individual observance of the laws and good manner; covering these problems woulc preclude more restrictive rules and less freedom in the outdoors out-doors Director Crane listed the following fol-lowing items among those tc be kept in mind by all who gc afield: Be familiar with the rules and regulations regarding fishing. fish-ing. Leave a clean camp, picnic site, stream or lake ban! wherever you may go. Observe the laws of trespass and courtesy by gaining per mission before entering upor private property. Signs should be read and ob served wherever they may b posted. Above all, exercise the same courtesy and .care you expect of others wherever you maj go outdoors.
