Some interesting kinds of handicraft will be made this day, and all mothers and daughters of the ward are invited to participate. Mapleton Hews Mrs. Blake Everett Several couples enjoyed a trip to Moab over the weekend as representatives of the Mapleton Ma-pleton Jaycees. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dibble, Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Lowe, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Warren participated in the election of state officers to the convention which was held there. They went sightseeing sight-seeing out to Arches National Monument and to Dead Horse Point. Tom Bona, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bona, is spending a 30-day leave from the service serv-ice with his parents. His home base is at LeMar, California, but he has just completed a three week's training period at Fallon, Nevada. Mapleton riding club had a party Saturday afternoon at Park Ro She for the children of the members. Most of the time was spent swimming and refreshments were served afterwards. af-terwards. Jack Bona was chairman of the party. Mapleton Second Ward Relief Re-lief Society held their .closing social Wednesday. The regular social science class was held after which everyone enjoyed a Smorgasbord.
