Lillian Huntington, was i cniest of honor at a family dinner marking her 80th hirthday at her daughter's home, Sunday, October 11. 80th birthday noted by civic, church worker ! I Mrs. Lillian Huntington, 340 I No. 1st East, was guest of honor at a dinner celebrating her 80th birthday, which was Wednesday, at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Erling Roylance, on Sunday. Approximately 35 guests were in attendance, including in-cluding the following: Mrs. John Knox, a sister, who came from San Gabriel, Calif.; Wallace R. Jones and Jay Brace Jones, brothers and their families of Salt Lake i City; Mrs. Virginia C. Peay and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown and families of Provo; the host and hostess and their son, Alan Roylance and wife and daughter and the guest of honor. Mrs. Huntington was born ii Spanish Fork, Oct. 14, 1884, a daughter of Joseph E. and Lucy Robertson Jones. She spent her early life in Spanish Span-ish Fork and was married to Sterling E. Childs of Springville, Spring-ville, December 21, 1903. He died in May 1912 and on Nov-ember Nov-ember 11, 1914, she was married mar-ried to Dimmick Huntington, who also passed away in Nov. 1930. .Mrs. Huntington has always j been active in community and church work, especially during her younger years. For many years she has been a member of the Alpha Beta Club in which she has served as president. presi-dent. She has also been art chairman of the State Federation Federa-tion of Women's clubs. During her early married life, she worked in the First Ward Religion class and served in the MIA presidency. She has taken active part in the Relief Re-lief Society serving as a work director. She has also been a visiting teacher for 45 years. She ls the mother of three daughters, Mrs. Erling (Lucy) Roylance of this city; Mrs. Virginia C. Peay and Mrs. Harold (Olive) Brown both of Provo; also eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. |
