On Monday, it was England Day and the menu featured beef stew and plum pudding among other items; Tuesday was Swedish Day and the menu was pork patties with sour cream sauce, baked potato, po-tato, Swedish rolls; Wednesday, Wednes-day, Hawaii Day, with a menu of" fried rice, chicken and fruits; Thursday, Italian, spe- ghetti with meat balls and Italian salad. Friday was the American Day and turkey and pumpkin pie will be featured. Mrs. Jordan said that parents par-ents and friends of the lunch program have been given a special invitation to attend the lunches this week, to get an idea of what is being served. Serving is at 11:45, 12:15 and 12:45 p.m. Contests To emphasize observance of the week, Mrs. Jordan also sponsored a contest among boys and girls, who were asked to submit the best slogan and the best poster for the week. Winner of the poster and slogan contest was Jessie Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaRell Johnson, 9th grade, who received a world globe; best poster among girls, Sandra San-dra Wiley, 7th grade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wiley; and girl's slogan, Carol Webb, 9th grade, duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Webb. Both received re-ceived jewelry. Among the boys, Wayne Lloyd, 7th grade, son of Mr and Mrs. Garn Lloyd took first in posters and Neil Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, son of Mr .and Mrs. Don Christiansen first in slogans. slo-gans. They were given footballs. foot-balls. The prizes were all donated by Mrs. Jordan.
