President Mabel Paulson conducted con-ducted the meeting. Mary Ellen completed an LDS nd?-in the PhiliPPie Islands Is-lands tins summer and her sister, sis-ter, Charlotte, met her there. Together, they toured the Islands, Is-lands, also Japan and other P aces of interest in the Orient Miss Montillo is living in Provo Pro-vo attending the BYU. The girls spoke of life and customs in the Philippines and m Japan and showed manv colored slides and interesting souvenirs which they brought back. Refreshments were served to 12 members and four guests. Hostesses along with Mrs. Graves were Jerry Tippetts and Beth Jensen. On Nev. 2, election meeting will be held at the Chicken Roost Inn. Mrs. Elizabeth Dopps of Kansas City, Missouri, is visit- ing with her daughter, Mrs. John Westwood and her family. fam-ily. Mrs. Dopps came wih the Kansas City Stake Singing Mothers, who sang in Relief Society General Conference two weeks ago. There were 196 women in the group, and Mrs. Dopps said they practiced prac-ticed for six months before coming, but she felt that the thrill of singing in the tabernacle taber-nacle was vell worth it. Mrs. Edna Brown of Para-wan Para-wan spent a week with her mother, Mrs. Nell Wiscombe. Mrs. Brown came up to attend conference and stayed over to visit her mother and other relatives rel-atives here. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Burt and daughter, Brenda, have moved into the Halverson home. They have been living in Brigham City. Kent is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Burt, and his wife is the former Glenna Warren. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Allen had visitors from Atascadero, California Cal-ifornia this week. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Median spent a couple of days with them. Mr. Median grew up with the Aliens in Moab, Utah. His wife is formerly form-erly of Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. John Roundy (Linda Freeman) are moving in oo Mapleton Ward. They have been living in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Joan Fallett took her Sunday School class to Salt Lake Saturday. They toured the temple grounds and heard an organ recital at the tabernacle, taber-nacle, then they all had dinner din-ner together. Participating in the outing were: Mary Hjorth, Susan Burt, Vicky Hooper, Linda Marsh, Gary Ogilive, Scott Spencer and Russell Snyder. |
