Show 1947 SHS class reunion brings many back home With more than a hundred class members and partners in attendance, the annual reunion of the SHS class of 39i7, was held at the high fthool Art Building, Thursday evening of last week. A social hour, dinner, din-ner, program and tour of the high school buildings, highlighted high-lighted the occasion. Former high school principals, princi-pals, Paul K. Walker and W. W. Brockbank and their wives were special guests. Dr. Dean Packard. American Ameri-can Fork, former mayor of the school, welcomed the group and Matt Robertson was Emcee. Billy Pratt gave a toast to the girls and La-Wana La-Wana T. Giles, the fellows. The committee in charge of events was chairmaned by Peggy C. Childless of Orem, assisted by Norma Rao O. Boyer, Robert and Norma B.j Thorn, Elizabeth W. Stone, Provo; Joan B. Sum si in, Shir-lene Shir-lene P. Wheeler and Melba C. Packard, American Fork. Many former class members and their wives and husbands attended from out of state, included in-cluded among whom were: Jane C. Norton, Chicago; Carl and Bonnie Bailey Black, Jerome, Jer-ome, Idaho; Don and Sophia Clegg, San Lorenzo, Calif.; Dr. Glenn and Dorothy Groes-beck Groes-beck Garrett of La Canada, Calif.; Mrs. LaRae McPher-son McPher-son Bissell of Boise, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Richmond of Stockton, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Don Whiting, Warden, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wing of Torrence, Calif.; also Wilbur and Marilyn W. Wilson came from Hawaii in time for the reunion. |
