Show (J3revitteA . . . Mr. mid Mrs. Howard Allan are in Logan for a few days on vacation and business. They are visiting at the home of Howard's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Johnson. Kenneth Curtis, Orem, son of Mrs. J. C. Nielson is in the Utah Valley Hospital, where he underwent major surgery, Monday. , friends. Mrs. Miner came up about a month ago and underwent under-went surgery and her husband came up several days ago, to accompany them back. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Clegs have enjoyed a visit from their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Clegg. and four children of San Lorenzo, California, Cal-ifornia, and also from then-daughter then-daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hyer of Quincey, Wash. During their visit, the families enjoyed a reunion at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Richard K. Miner with approximately 30 family fam-ily members in attendance. Also Al-so during their stay, Mrs. Don Clegg (Sophia) cooked a typical typ-ical Mexican dinner for a group of Young Marrieds of the Second Ward. The patio dinner party was held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Richard K. Miner with approximately forty people in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Curtis and six children have returned to California . after visiting here several days last week with Vernon's mother, Mrs. J. C. Nielson. Several dinners were given while they were here and family fam-ily gatherings with the following follow-ing brothers and sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Curtis and Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Sylvia) Allan, Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. June (Myrtle) Brown, Mrs. Velma Carlon, Provo; and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Curtis of Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thorn of Glendale, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Vern Bird of Los Angeles, Ange-les, have returned to their homes after a visit with relatives rela-tives and friendsin Springville. Spring-ville. They came especially to attend the party given by the State Road Commission office, for their sister, Mrs. Samantha T. Finch of Salt Lake City, who retired after 25 years service in the office of the commission. com-mission. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Miner and three children returned Tuesday, to their home in Al-tadea, Al-tadea, Calif., after visiting their mothers, Mrs. Elizabeth Miner and Mrs. Louise Bram-all Bram-all and other relatives and Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Dougall and their daughter, Mrs. Jean-ette Jean-ette Houtz of Orem, went to Portland, Oregon, to meet their son and brother, John Dougall. as he was released from his mission in the Northwestern North-western States. They visited the mission president and other oth-er missionaries and saw a number of interesting places in the area, stopping at Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Park enroute home. Mr. and Mrs. Lelioy Roberts (KaraLee Clements) have arrived ar-rived in Springville from San Mateo, Calif., and are visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clements. They plan to make their home in Springville, Spring-ville, providing Mr. Roberts can obtain employment. Originally Orig-inally from Honolulu, Hawaii, he has been attending college in California. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dunn and three children of Susan-ville, Susan-ville, California, are visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dunn and both are enrolled at summer sum-mer school at BYU. Norman is a student counselor in junior high school. Miss Toni Taylor of Castro Valley, California, formerly of Springville, has been spending two weeks In Springville the house guests of Miss Valerie Twelves. |
