Show Fires, power problems aired by council Fire Chief Edwin. Johnson, Reed . Averett . and the County Fire Warden were present regarding re-garding citizens burning. It was agreed by the Mayor and City Council that 'there should be no more open burning after July 15, any excepion would be by special permit. It was moved by Councilman Peay and seconded by Councilman Council-man Reynolds the Resolution be adopted authorizing the Mayor and City Recorder to sign the contract with the Federal Government to purchase pur-chase Federal Power, the motion mo-tion passed unanimously. It was moved by Councilman Council-man Reynolds and seconded by Councilman Peay the Council Coun-cil approve the recommendations recommenda-tions of the Planning Board, as follows: Relative to the street improvements im-provements in Camelback Subdivision, Sub-division, with an existing 50 foot street. It should be a curb with an adjacent sidewalk. The proposed street at 9th East should be designed and presented to the City In accordance ac-cordance with the existing subdivision sub-division ordinances. The planting strip on 3rd East between Center Street and 1st North be five feet installed in-stalled on both sides of the street. Due to the fact, the proposed pro-posed Pclfreyrnan Subdivision does not meet the requirements, require-ments, the street system should be extended to 7th East or through to 1st North.
