Several citizens were present pres-ent at the eouncil meeting .londay night, to register a irotest against side walk and :urb and gutter in the pro-losed pro-losed Improvement District lo. 11; also several letters and petitions were presented. All but two of the property owners on Third Fast from Center to 1st North Street siged a petition as being opposed op-posed to curb and gutter. El-den El-den Palfreyman representing the group stated they would favor it if it was 30 inches from the sidewalk. Tiie following follow-ing citizens expressed themselves them-selves as either favoring or opposing curb and gutter; in the vicinity of 3rd South from 1st East: H. L. Nielson, opposed op-posed to curb . and gutter at this time; Jay Smart opposed to curb' and gutter; Mrs. Frank Holmes opposed to curb and gutter; Mrs. Margaret King opposed to curb and gutter; gut-ter; Mrs. Helen Robbins, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frandsen and Mrs. Jay Smart would be favorable fav-orable to it at 30 inches.
