Scouts from both wards participated in the patriotic ceremony commemorating com-memorating I n d e p e n dence Day. Derryl Haws of the Mapleton Ma-pleton First Ward was in charge and the flag was raised rais-ed at six a.m. Mapleton First Ward is having hav-ing a drive for clothing and rug rags for the Deseret Industries In-dustries on July 15. They are asking anyone in town who has clothing their children have grown out of, or rags they wish to dispose of, to call some member of the Relief Re-lief Society presidency or the bishopric and arrangements will be made to have the things picked up. The Industries . will also take shoes, or furniture that is in need of repair. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Behr-mann Behr-mann of Phoenix, Arizona, who have been visiting their son and daughter here, have gone on to Emmet, Idaho, where a family gathering is being held at the home of Briant Behrmarm. Orris and his family came from Phoenix, Verl and his family from Mapleton, Ma-pleton, Orie and his family from Salt Lake. They all plan to go salmon fishing while they are there.
