Show EHS defeats MHS ENTERPRISE Milford dug a hole too deYp to get out of last week against Enterprise, as the Wolves of Enterprise dropped the Tigers 53-46 in Region 12 action here. "We weren't ready to play a ballgame," said Milford coach Kevin Barnes. "They (MHS players) just kind of figured thay would have to show up and Enterprise would just quit." Obviously that didn't hapHn. Barnes felt part of the problem with ""his team and their attitude was the fact that, I hey had downed Kanab the previous week and were over-confident. Milfdrd has struggled with a young ''team this year, and the win against a go(xl Kanab team, alter losing a number of games, affected them adversely, according to Barnes. (Mice Milford got shocked back to their senses, the rest of the contest against the Wolves did actually become a contest. "The first quarter wasn't much of a game," stated Barnes. "We just went out there living on last week's win over Kanab. We were just a step lchind e everything they did." Enterprise led 17-4 at the end of one pei iixl. The Wolves then turned around and had a terrible second quarter, scoring only five points, to make the ha If time score 22-18, Enterprise. Enterprise maintained that margin through the third quarter and led 36-32 at the conclusion of three periods. "We did get more field goals then they did," said Barnes. The big difference in the game was at the foul line where Enterprise was 15-21 and Milford 6-8. Barnes felt his team got the short end of the officiating stick. |
