Show Forbush gets award program tor tne past 20 years. He begame an Eagle Scout in May 1965. in Midvale. Utah. He has also earned three palms. the featured quest speaker where over 150 people were in attendance. CEDAR CITY -Norman L. Forbush. Cedar City, received the Silver Wreath Award Jrom the National Eagle Scout Association. Boy Scouts of America. Saturday night at the annual Southern Utah Eagle Banquet at Southern Utah State College. The presentation of the award was made by Dr. Bill Miller, presenent of the Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Silver Wreath Award is given in recognition of Eagle Scouts who are members of the National Eagle Scout Association and who have contributed to the Scouting program and the National Eagle Scout Association as an adult to help other young men in their effort to earn " the Eagle Scout Award. There have been only eight of these awards given in the Utah National Parks Council since the beginning of the National Eagle Scout Association in 1972. Douglas Manning of Cedar City received this same award last year. Forbush has been involved in the Scouting with his Eagle Award. Forbush is presently serving in the Stake Young Men's Presidency in the Cedar North LDS Stake over the Scouting program. He also serves as the District training chairman for the Six-Phase Six-Phase Scout Leader Training in the Cedar Breaks District. He has earned the Sc outer's Training Award. Scouter's Key. and Commissioner Arrowhead honor. He received the Second Miler Award in 1980 and just recently received the District Award of Merit from the Cedar Breaks District. He conducts and organizes the Courts of Honor in the Cedar North Stake and he is a merit badge counselor lor 21 merit badges. He is also actively involved in the Order of the Arrow. Forbush is employed by the Utah State Parks and Recreation as superintendent at the Iron Mission State Park. President John M. Russon, President of the St. George Temple was |
