Show Enoch selects new Justice In other business The Council thanked retiring Planning Commission members for their service. Retiring members include Kim Matheson and Evelyn Dettamanti. Also thanked for a a job well done was retiring Commission secretary Hope Truman. ENOCH Wendall Downward, Enoch, was chosen to be the local Justice of the Peace at the regular meeting of the Town Council Feb. 3. Downward will begin as the Justice of the Peace March 1, and will be working out of his home, according to Anne Zufelt, Council secretary. He will receive $50 a month for his work. The Council has been looking at making such a move for some time now, but just now made the final decision. In another matter, newly installed Deputy Sheriff Bill Bradfield reported to the Council about the problem with uncontrolled dogs in the community. After discussing the problem, the Council members instructed Bradfield that they wanted to have the animal ordinance enforced in the City. Bradfield agreed to enforce the ordinance which, for dog owners, means that the dogs must be in the owner's control at all times. |
