Show Problems to be solved forParowan utilities Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS) is scheduled to sell bonds to finance its portion of the Hunter II coal-fired generation plant in Emery County. Parowan is a member of UAMPS und is purchasing a portion of the Hunter II plant. Earlier short-term financing had proved expensive and had caused cash . flow problems for a number of UAMPS cities. PAROWAN - Two developments have taken place which should help the cash How problem leing experienced by the Parowan City Electrical Utility Department, i Councilman Gayle Wood, a member of the City's power board, indicated this week that repaired generating equipment at the Paragonah hydroelectric hydro-electric plant is scheduled for installation by the lirst week on March. The generating equipment was seriously damaged last July when, lor reasons still not fully determined, the plant's governor did not adequately control the speed of the unit. An average of between 300 and 400 kilowatts of low cost generation was lost to the Parowan system. The Paragonah plant is one of two small hydro plants owned by Parowan City.
