Show Young to go to conference CEDAR CITY - A Southern Utah College faculty member has been invited to attend a "Conference on the Teaching of the Ancient World" Feb. 8-10 in Memphis, Term. Robert G. Young, associate professor of history at SUSC, is one of 40 educators from across the country selected to discuss new materials and methods of teaching college-level courses in the Classics and Greco-Roman Greco-Roman history. Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, conference topics include structuralism and the Classics, literary approaches to the Bible, Greek and Roman civilizations and mythology. Young joined the SUSC faculty in 1975 after completing his doctorate on Nazi propagenda at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a specialist on Nazi Germany and teaches 20th century European history at SUSC along with classes in Greek and Roman history. Robert G. Young |
