MOT Il NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the IRON COUNTY COMMISSION at the County Courthouse, Parowan, Utah until 9:00 o'clock a.m. May 13th, 1981, and at that time publicly opened for construction of a crushed aggregate base course, 3 inches thick, in Iron County, the same being that section of Collector Road Route No. 26 from approximately two miles northwest of Parowan City thence west 2.55 miles, identified as Collector Road Project No. CR 16 (1). The length of road to be constructed or improved is 2.55 miles and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: Lump sum mobilization, and place approximately 7,000 tons of base course aggregate from existing Iron County stockpile, including water, watering and compaction to finished grade. The project is to be completed in 20 calendar davs. Prequalification of bidders is required. I Prior to any bidder's I. receiving plans and specifications, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequalification Statement pertaining to contractor's experience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (52 Stat. 1060). Iron County, in accordance ac-cordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ( 78 Stat. 252), hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color or national origin. Proposal forms, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the County Clerk, Parowan, Utah and the office ofJhe Project Engineer at 4(Jf 200 W., Cedar City, UtarT, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, tnd plans may be obtatled only at Office of the project engineer upon application and paymen of a fee of $-0-, no part ofV which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided by the local agency; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Iron County treasurer, as , evidence of good faith i and a guarantee that if 1 awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the 1 contract bonds as required.
