Show Student art show set conducting a workshop in the SUSC Art Department, Depart-ment, May 6 through 8. The exhibitions will run through May 29, 1981. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Guide service is available with advance scheduling. . '"TA-'-'rf? 1 I "J 'n Guest artist Joseph Mugnainl will demonstrate drawing at the opening of the Annual SUSC Students' Exhibition Wednesday. Works of senior art student Patricia Lynn Allen will also be featured at the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, The Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, Southern Utah State College announced an-nounced that the Annual SUSC Students' Exhibition and Senior Portfolio Exhibition by Patricia Lynn Allen will open Wednesday evening at 7. The students' exhibition will feature art completed for or in an SUSC class from summer school 1980 through the current date, including drawings, original prints, paintings, ceramics, sculpture and fiber art. Many of the works will be available for purchase. Allen's senior portfolio exhibition will feature several plexiglass sculptures as well as some ceramics, prints and paintings. The artist, a native of Ohio, is a candidate 'for the bachelor's degree in art and expects to graduate from SUSC in June. In conjunction with the opening of the exhibitions, Joseph Mugnaini, nationally-recognized nationally-recognized artist from Los Angeles, will present an 8 p.m. program and drawing demonstration. Light refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Gallery following Mr. Mugnaini's presentation. Joseph Mugnaini served as head of the Drawing Department at the Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles. He has been a visiting professor at several institutions, including Temple University, University of California, Santa Cruz, Utah State University, Brigham Young University and Pomona College. The artist has been widely recognized for his accomplishments in drawing, printmaking and painting. He has had numerous one-man exhibitions, and his work is represented in a host of private and public collections. He has published three books on art. Mugnaini will be |
