Show Enoch who have recently moved " to Northern Utah from California. By VEDA MATHESON Record Correspondent Mrs. Karen Gledhill and children have been visiting here with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Grimshaw. Karen lives in Price and will spend two weeks here while her husband, LaRell is attending a school. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Gibson were here for a few days on business. They are living in Las Vegas. Elder Paul Sherratt returned from Louisiana this past week where he completed a LDS Mission. Among family members who came from out of town to welcome him were Mr. and Mrs. John Sherratt and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Leavitt of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Alger and family and Mrs. Zelma Alger were in Salt Lake this past weekend to attend a wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Matheson made a trip to Provo last Thursday to be present when their son Evan received his Commission in the U.S. Army and was graduated from the BYU. He will study at the U of U Medical Center next year. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Smith were here last week for a visit with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shandrew has visited here with his mother, Mrs. Barbara Shandrew during the past two weeks. He is in the U.S. Army and returned recently from Hawaii. Mrs. Mitzi Armbruster returned on Saturday from a trip to Maryland to visit with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Spencer and three little girls. While there she also visited Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania, and stopped in Denver, Colo, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armbruster. Wednesday evening of last week saw the presentation of the Cedar North Stake dance festival. It was a very nice program. All three , Enoch Wards participated par-ticipated along with three wards from Cedar City. One special number was performed by some of the members of the original Enoch Ward and consisted con-sisted of old time dances that were a specialty of the Enoch Dances. Several students from this area were included in a field trip on Wednesday sponsored by the Cedar City Middle School for the students who had achieved the Honor Roll. Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Christiansen and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Christiansen and children spent the past week in California Don Smith, and to attend to some business. They are living in Salt Lake City. Felicity Smith, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith, spent part of last week in the St. George hospital for some minor surgery. Mr. and mrs. Glendon Heaton were in Layton over the weekend. They went to visit with their son in law and -daughter, Greg and Carmen Sill |
