Show Paris Captured Golf title Yvonne Paris of Cedar City captured first place honors in the Annual Ladies Golf Tournament staged at Painted Hills Golf Course in Cedar City Saturday. Mrs. Paris carded a 90 over tlie 18 hole competition to capture first place honors in a field of 29 representing participants from throughout southern Utah. Second place honors in the championship flight was Pern Erickson with a 93 and third place in the gross division. was Jody Parcell at 105. Capturing net honors in the chamuionshin flieht was Phyll Parcell 'with a 69 and she was followed by Lillie Hazel at 70 and Vee Mallory of Delta with a 79. First place in the first flight gross was Judy Iiranvall of Beaver with a 102. In second place was Ruth Denton of Delta at 112 and Jenny Renfro of Dixie was third with a 113. Net honors in the tirst flight went to Evelyn Morgan of Beaver with a 78. Second place honors were garnered by Leatha Prestwish and Jen Gardner was third. Carla Olofson of Cedar City won first place honors in the Second Flight with a 105 in the gross division. In second place was Lori Black of Cedar City with a 114 and Jinx Zobell of St. George was third with a 129. In the net division it was Nellie Peterson of St. George capturing first place with a 77. Dee Carter of Cedar City was second with an 80 and Deulah Bassatt of Delta took home third place with a round of 83. The . tournament was under the direction of the Painted Hills Ladies Golf Association. Sponsors for the tournament included Gale's Pro Shop, SprouseReitz and Pizza Factory. |
