Show James Clark seeks Vacated County Post James Clark, Republican member of the Iron County Commission, indicated in-dicated Tuesday that he will be a candidate to fill the unexpired term of Grant Seaman, who passed died June 24 of a heart attack. Clark's present term on the Commission Com-mission expires December 31, 1980. He elected earlier not to seek relec-tion. relec-tion. "The untimely dea th of Sea ma n and the encouragement of party leaders and others convinced me that I should seek t the position vacated by Mr. Seaman," he said. Although the County is still awaiting a ruling from the Utah Attorney General's office it is anticipated that an election will be necessary to filled the unexpired term of Seaman. Elected for tour years his term will not be completed until Decmember 1982. In the interim the commission, consisting of Mr, Clark and Dee Cowan, will appoint a replacement to serve untio such time as an election can be held. The Iron County Republican Party has been asked to submit a list of six names from which a dommissioner will be selected to serve in that capacity. It is anticipated an-ticipated that the appointment will be made at the next meeting of the Commission. Full details of the election are not yet known, but it anticipated that anyone, regardless of party affiliation, af-filiation, would be eligible as a candidate. can-didate.
