Show Rams lose to Cowboys - Wolves PAROWAN - Parowan Rams met trouble Friday night when they traveled to Kanab for a showdown with the Kanab Cowboys. Parowan entered the game with a three way : tie for second place with North Sevier and Beaver. Kanab had already locked up the division one crown, claiming a first round bye in the region 12 :ound robin tournament scheduled ,to start Friday. The Cowboys started out strong against the Rams taking an ealry lead. The Rams only headed the Cowboys once in the game and were plagued by turnovers tur-novers . and foul trouble. Kanab made 24 of 34 tries at the foul line compared to 9 of 16 for the Rams. Final score was 88-63. Coleman of Kanab hit 24 for the Cowboys, Todd Cooper led the Rams with 23, Pat Benson had 18, Mike Thornton 13. More bad news for the Rams was a game with Enterprise. The Rams won and then had to forfeit as a result of a protest by the Wolves claiming that Coach Riggs called an illegal time out in the final minutes of the game. This dropped the Rams to fourth place and a first round matchup with Wayne County in the Round Robin. |
