Show TOQUERVILLE Mrs. Rowena W. Slack Reporter The Sarah Willis chapter of the D. U. P. met Friday afternoon at the school house. Lessons were given by Mrs. Freda Theobald and Mrs. Nell Parkinson. County officers, Mrs. Josephine Pace, Mrs. Hazel Bradshaw and Mrs. Gibbons were in attendance. Mrs. Lorine I. Higbee was elcted captain and other officers will be selected before be-fore the next meeting. Mrs. Clay Denton returned on Wednesday from Los Angeles, where she visited the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Higbee, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wakeling of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Preston Williams and family of Kanarra spent Easter at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Higbee. ' Miss Corris Jackson of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Jackson. .Miss Martha Jane Bringhurst of Ogden spent Easter with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bringhurst. Bring-hurst. Mrs. Mary Lamb of Pintura visited vis-ited relatives and friends here Monday. R. J. Naegle had the misfortune misfor-tune to get his hand in the machinery ma-chinery of the sprayer and lost the first joint of his thumb and fore finger of his left hand. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mclntyre and children and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Aguire of Las Vegas spent Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs, W. M. Bringhurst. Miss Beulah Kleinman spent the week end in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. George Naegle and family of Parowan and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Naegle and daughter daugh-ter of Hurricane spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Naegle. The M.I. A. held their closing social Tuesday night. A one-act Play, a military dance, ballet dance, vocal and a duet made up the program which was followed by dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Barnum arrived ar-rived Tuesday from Gainsville, Texas, where Mr. Barnum is stationed. sta-tioned. They are visiting Mrs. Barnum's parents, Mr. and Mrs S. T. Stapley. |
