Show MESQUITE, Nev. Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Fay Leavitt and family of Boulder City spent the week end here visiting. The family of Bishop Max Hafen gave the program in Sacrament meeting. His father, John Hafen and brothers, Arthur K. and Guy Hafen each gave talks and a piano duet was rendered by two younger sisters and a piano solo was rendered by Valerie Hafen. A family gathering is planned each Easter at the home of Bishop Hafen and while they were here he planned a family program in church. Each month a family group takes over the program for Sacrament meeting. Last month the family of Howard Pulsipher was featured. Mike Burns left last Sunday for the Army. He leaves a wife, the former Zella Pulsipher and baby, Michael Anthony. Brady Walker is visiting at Provo. Mrs. Mary Reber spent several sev-eral days last week at Las Vegas visiting with her daughter, Caroline. Caro-line. Cleo Frehner was here last week on furlough visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Frehner. While he was here a family gathering was enjoyed with the families of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Ran-dall Frehner, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ver-non Frehner and Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Frehner all participating. Mr. Frehner' is in the Navy. Baline Abbott, formerly of Mesquite Mes-quite stopped for . a short visit on his way to join the Army. Mrs. Virginia Sylvester has gone to Logandale to spend a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barlow. Fenstermaker Baby Dies The four-months-old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fenstermaker Fenster-maker died at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hortt last Thursday. The father, who was stationed at Florida, was home on an emergency furlough. fur-lough. The baby was taken to Salt Lake City for treatment earlier in the week. Graveside services were held at the cemetery. ceme-tery. A quartet consisting of Car-melia Car-melia Hardy, Anna Tobler, Alfred Tobler and Elmer Hughes furnished furn-ished the singing. The greatgrandfather, great-grandfather, George Bowler, gave a short sermon and the grave was dedicated by William Abbott. |
