Show VEYO Mrs. V. Jones Reporter July Fourth was celebrated here with a dance at Cottam's swimming swim-ming pool Friday night. A patriotic patri-otic program Saturday morning and sports for the children in the afternoon. A large crowd from surrounding towns attended the calf roping program here on Sunday afternoon. Miss Lois Gardner of Pine Valley Val-ley was a guest of Lois Chadburn over Saturday and Simdnv James R. Bracken returned Saturday Sat-urday from St. George, where he spent the past few weeks harvest-in harvest-in grain. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowler and family of Gunlock spent Saturday Sat-urday here visiting relatives. Mrs. Ellis Jones and daughter. Vera, spent several days last week with relatives in St. George. Mrs. Roy Renouf returned last week from Los Angeles and other California points where she spent the past several weeks. Mrs. Willard Milne of St. George and Von B. Cottam of Las Veras spent several days last week at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Cottam. Willard Webb of Hurricane is at the home of his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel S. Leavitt. George Howarth was released from the McGregor hospital on Tuesday, where he had been taken for medical aid following his fall from the roof of a house in Veyo on last Wednesday. X-ray pictures revealed that he had a broken wrist and severe hip injuries. in-juries. J. H. Bowler took him home from the hospital. |
