Show Enterprise Celebrates Fourth With Program, Games, Dance By THERESA HUNTSMAN ENTERPRISE, Utah The Fourth of July was celebrated here Monday Mon-day and a good meeting was held at 10 a. m., in the ward hall. The following good program was enjoyed en-joyed by a large crowd. Music by the string band; flag ceremony, with six of our soldiers, who were home on furlough participating. par-ticipating. Clawson Hunt led the procession carrying the flag, Win-sor Win-sor Adams, Herman Adams, Merrill Mer-rill Laub, Norman Laub and El-bern El-bern Sagers. all in uniform, followed fol-lowed by Mrs. Merl Emett as , Goddess of Liberty, with two little maids of honor, marched in and onto the stage and stood at att-pntirn while the a i ir1innro left by Heber M. Holt, with Mrs. Gertrude Ger-trude Lund at the piano, sang the "Star-Spangled Banner"; prayer was by Chaplain William T. Truman; Tru-man; song, Clawson Hunt; oration, ora-tion, Raymond Farnsworth; duet by Norman and Merrill Hunt. Tap dance, Cecil Drake and Maribah Holt; tribute to Liberty, Heber Truman; response by Mrs. Emett; congregation sang "America", "Ameri-ca", and prayer was offered by the Chaplain. Races for the children and a ball game between the married and single men, and a game between be-tween the married women and single were enjoyed in the afternoon. after-noon. The married people won in both games. A dance for the children in the early evening and one for the grown-ups at night completed the day's entertainment. |
