Cannon home from the present owners, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Mor- ris Sr., who are moving this month " to their former home in Parowan. They have occupied the home since I the death of the original owner. ; This purchase, which the college ". has been looking forward to for several years gives them not only a large colonial residence, which ; will serve as a building unit for the school, but completes the L- " shape of ground which adds ma- terially to their campus room and '. to their possibilities of expansion. ; On the property stands a small " adobe structure, historically im-" im-" portant in its day as the first ' building erected in St. George for i; a meat market. During the time - of the building of the Temple, " many pounds of Canaan beef went over the counter of this small '. shop. ; Just what use the large resi dence will be put to this current year is not definitely decided, but it will probably become a dormi-; dormi-; tory unit for the present, states : President Snow. |
