Show Lions and Lady Lions Install New Officers A conjoint meeting of the Lions and Lady Lions was held last Thursday evening for the purpose of installing the new officers of the club for 1943-44. Pres. Valentine Valen-tine McArthur called the group to order and introduced Wesley A. Nelson, district governor elect, as the installing officer. Each newly-elected officer was called to the front, and given a brief outline of his duties pertaining pertain-ing to his office. Lions installed were as follows: Howard Judd, president; Duke . Sutton, first vice president; Roy Renouf, second vice president; Wesley A. Nelson, third vice president; presi-dent; Lee Weibel, 2-year director; Erick L. Anderson, 2-year director. direc-tor. Holdover directors include: R. M. Reber and N. M. Lundberg; O. D. Lombardi, secretary-treasurer; Reed Leigh, Lion tamer; Ralph Westover, tail Twister. Mr. McArthur, as past president, automatically au-tomatically becomes a member of the board of directors, i At the first meeting of the board, an officer will be named to replace Mr. Nelson, who was recently elected to the office of District Governor. Guest for the evening was Deputy District Governor Rodney A. Ashby. The following officers were installed in-stalled by the Lady Lions, under the leadership of Mrs. John J. Phoenix Jr.: Mrs. Howard Judd, president; Mrs. Clarence Dahl, vice president; Mrs. Erick L. Anderson, Ander-son, secretary; Mrs. Wesley A. Nelson, reporter; Mrs. H. Val Hafen, amusements; Mrs. N. M. Lundberg, friendship. Following the ceremony the group held a pot-luck supper on the Sugar Loaf. The Lady Lions furnished the refreshments and the balance of the evening was spent with group singing led by Marion Bowler. i |
