Show MESQUITE, Nev. Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter The Fourth of July passed very quietly here. Races and a dance were held in the morning for the children... Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Barnum and children of Pioche and Caroline Caro-line Reber of Las Vegas, visited with their mother, Mrs. Mary Reber over the week end. Word has been received that Francis Hughes, who is located in North Africa, has had an operation oper-ation for appendicitis. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hughes. Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff Leavitt, Mrs. William Jones, Edith Knight and Lucille Pulsipher went to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. Leavitt Leav-itt will have an operation on his , nose, while there. ' Members of the Mesquite Dairy met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Frehner for a business i meeting Monday night. Refresh- i ments were served after the 1 meeting. The Sunday school conducted a War Savings Stamp and Bond sale 1 on July Fourth, during the day. They report taking in around S250. Officers and teachers of the Sunday school, held their ward j faculty meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Tobler, on ' Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Houston and family spent Monday at Gunlock visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Pulsipher announce the arrival of a son, June 28 at Cedar City. |
