Show HURRICANE Mrs. Vernet Hinton Reporter Mrs. Claude Cornwall, who is en-route en-route from California to join her husband in New York City, stopped stop-ped over in Hurricane to visit with her sister, Mrs. Finley Judd. She was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Katherine Thurston, and her brother, Harold Thurston. Thomas Eagar left Sunday for Ogden where he will receive schooling in canning and other projects connected with the Zion Park stake welfare program. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Larsen returned re-turned Thursday from a short visit in Cedar City with their daughter. Fae Reber is home on furlough from the gunnery school at Kingman, King-man, Ariz., where he graduated recently. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brooks and children were St. George" visitors vis-itors Sunday. Hal Bradshaw is here on leave from the Navy visiting with his wife and infant son. Mr. and Mrs. Ferral Lemon were visitors in St. George Wednesday. Wed-nesday. . ' Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dustin of Las Vegas spent Sunday visiting in Hurricane with Blanche Le-Baron. Le-Baron. Hyrum Neilson spent the week end home from Boulder City to visit his family. The third quorum of Elders of Hurricane North ward held a social so-cial in the stake chapel last Thursday evening. This was followed fol-lowed by a stake High Priests' party Friday night. Large crowds attended both parties. Many Hurricane high students attended the basketball game at Kanab Monday evening. Harold Anderson is back again at his shoe repair shop after being be-ing absent several days due to an- injured arm. The Married Women's club met last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Ora Williams. The group present reported an enjoyable enjoy-able evening. Tuesday evening a free dance was held at the Hurricane high school, marking the close of the war bond drive. A P.-T. A. meeting was held Wednesday evening at the Hurricane Hurri-cane high school. |
