Show T0QUERY1LLE Mrs. Rowena W. Slack Mrs. Helen Denton Reporters Miss Mona Bringhurst has returned re-turned home from Las Vegas, where she has had employment. Mrs. Nora Lund of Paragonah wa.s a recent vistor at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Leo Bringhurst. Bring-hurst. Mrs. Lund and Mrs. Bringhurst Bring-hurst are sisters. Mrs. Amelia Slack has returned to her home in Toquerville after spending several weeks with her children in LaVerkin. She is reported re-ported improving slowly from her recent illness. Her daughter, Mrs. Fern Averett, is here with her mother for the present. Her son, Pvt. Martin Jackson is here visiting vis-iting his mother and grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Naegle of Cedar City are guests this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kleinman. Mr. Klein-man Klein-man left Tuesday for Salt Lake City on business. Mrs. Avery Bringhurst and small daughter, Linda, visited last week in Las Vegas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Berry Williams. She also visited with her brother, I Park Williams, who is enroute to Texas, where he has been trans ferred after spending two years in Alaska. Mrs. Virgil Wallace and son, Allan, have returned to their home in Huntington, Utah, after visiting in Toquerville with Mr. and Mrs. John L. Wallace, parents par-ents of her husband, for the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Adams returned Sunday from Kanab where they had been visiting for - three days. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Slack Wednesday of last week were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thurston of Overton, Mr. and Mrs. Finley M. Judd of Hurricane, Mrs. Katherine Thurston of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Claude Cornwall Corn-wall of Delta. Mrs. Gordon Bringhurst and infant daughter returned Thursday Thurs-day from the Iron county hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olds have moved into their new home. Their former home burned down last July. Bob Bringhurst, Wayne Porter and Woodrow Stapley went to Las Vegas Sunday, Mr. Stapley remaining to accept employment. John W. Fields arrived Friday from Lyman, Wyo., to visit with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter H: Slack. Mrs. Evaline Iverson of Washington Wash-ington spent Tuesday visiting at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lois Iverson. Speakers at our Sacrament meeting Sunday were Riley C. Savage of Leeds and Lieut. Nel-don Nel-don Jones, who was here on furlough. |
