Show Dixie Must Win from Cedar To Stay In Top League Position Coach Lee Hafen's Dixie Flyers will be put right on the spot tomorrow to-morrow night, when the real championship battle of the Dixie district will be fought at Cedar City. The two teams are tied for the league leadership with seven wins and one defeat each. If Dixie can win this one, she should be able to take the remaining re-maining three games at home. If Cedar comes out on top, she should have smooth sliding, except ex-cept that Hurricane may cause an upset when she'goes to Cedar. The local boys have been training train-ing intensively this week and hope to make good the loss at Hurricane last Friday 31-34. Play Kanab Here Saturday Saturday night the Flyers will again be put on the spot in the local gym, when Kanab comes here. At this game, a 10c war stamp will be collected in addition addi-tion to the regular admission. The money derived will be used to swell the college military scholarship schol-arship fund. Cedar City showed considerable scoring power in taking two games last week end at Orderville and Kanab, the former 52-38 and the latter 51-28. Enterprise took an easy one from Parowan 43-27 at Enterprise. Hurricane won by a 10-point margin at Kanab last Monday night. The game with Kanab here Saturday night will be important for Dixie, regardless of the outcome out-come of the game at Cedar. The Flyers must win this game to re main in the running for the regional reg-ional tournament. Hurricane is still mathematically in the running run-ning for the tourney. If she can upset Cedar on Feb. 26th, she may get into this meet. The tourney will be held in the gym of the team that wins out in this district, with first and second sec-ond winners here and, first and second winers in the Millard-Beaver Millard-Beaver district participating. Tomorrow night Kanab plays at Enterprise and Hurricane at Parowan. Paro-wan. Valley goes to Hurricane on Saturday. Enterprise will come to Dixie on Feb. 26th.
