Show SANTA CLARA Miss Amanda Graff Reporter Home missionaries at Santa Clara Sunday were Charles Merkley and Wendell Bayles of St. George, both of whom spoke in the afternoon after-noon Sacrament services. Pfc. Raymond Graff who is home on furlough, was also a speaker, and Miss Nellie Gubler sang a vocal solo. A severe windstorm which struck Santa Clara last Thursday evening took more than half of the roof from the old Jacob Hamblin home, which is now the property of Miss Clara Hamblin of Phoenix. The roof was recently re-cently reshingled. Pfc. Raymond Graff has been home for ten days visiting relatives. rela-tives. He is leaving soon for Deming, N. M. A birthday anniversary party was held Sunday for Miss Loretta Frei, a large group of her friends attending. Mrs. Joseph Graff is visiting in Las Vegas with her daughter, Mrs. Arlo Beatty and family. Miss Rayma Frei has returned to her employment at Hill Field, after spending the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward R. Frei Jr. Christian Stucki is reported improving im-proving from influenza, which has confined him to his home for several sev-eral days. The Santa Clara Swiss camp of the D. U. P. held their February meeting at the home of'Mrs. Vivian Viv-ian Graff last Thursday afternoon. after-noon. The lesson on pioneer songs and their composers was given by Mrs. Cecelia Tobler. Many of the songs were included in the program pro-gram with various members singing. |
