Show LaVERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Hardy celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary an-niversary Feb. 11th at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Gifford. An elaborate wedding cake made by their daughter, Myrtle, was included among their many gifts. Many friends and relatives attended. at-tended. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Hardy were guests of their parents Sunday evening for a family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Earl and two small children are home from Nevada. They are remodeling their house. Edward Leavitt, Seaman 1c, who has been attending signal corps school at the University of Illinois, visited Saturday at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hardy. Another brother, Sgt. Merlin Leavitt was also a recent visitor from his training camp in Florida. His wife and small son returned with him to Florida. Speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday were Vernon Church and Wickley Gubler of the Zion Park stake high council. The LaVerkin M. I. A. sponsored spon-sored a dance Tuesday evening, a large crowd attending. Writing from somewhere in New Guinea, Pfc. Keele Hardy says he is feasting on bananas and cocoanuts. LaVerkin has several boys in the Pacific war zone, including: Max and Delwin Hinton, Don Squire, Karl Church, Clive Woodbury, Wood-bury, Keele Hardy, Dwain Hep-worth, Hep-worth, Winferd Gifford and Calvin Button. In the British area are: Phil Squire and Donworth Gubler. Howell Segler and Paul Wilson are at Farragut; Robert Stocks, Ted and Steve Eaves, Lorin Strat-ton, Strat-ton, Elmer Hardy, Orin Duncan, Garth Day, are stationed in California; Cali-fornia; Willard Duncan in Wisconsin; Wis-consin; Golden Asay in Michigan; Michi-gan; and Robert Judd in Kentucky. Ken-tucky. LaVerkin is plenty proud of her "Men in Uniform", and reports re-ports they are all doing fine work. |
