Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Thelma Wilcox Reporters Sgt. and Mrs. Thomas H. Sem-mons Sem-mons arrived here last Monday on a short furlough. While here they were re-married in the St. George Temple, returning Sunday to Camp Adair, Ore. Mrs. Jack Schofield has returned re-turned from California where she has spent the last two months with her husband, who was stationed sta-tioned at Visalia. Mrs. Howard Whitehead and daughter, Elaine, have returned to Los Angeles after spending two weeks visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cornelius. Allen Maloney, I Fireman 2c visited vis-ited in Virgin over the week end, having spent most of his leave in Boulder City with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Maloney. The Mothers' Service club gave a party in his honor Monday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Horace Cornelius and son, Harry, arrived here from Nevada Wednesday to be with her husband hus-band who is convalescing from recent re-cent illness. , Mrs. Conal Jones Jr., has received re-ceived word of the safe arrival of her husband somewhere in Italy. Mrs. Jones was formerly Miss Velva Earl. The married folks met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Lee Sunday night to celebrate the birthday anniversaries of Mrs. Arnold Brinkerhoff, Robert Lee and Evan Lee. The evening was spent at games and refreshments were served. Mrs. 'Hetty Matthews has returned re-turned from Pleasant Grove. Bishop and Mrs. Alma Flahigan spent Friday and Saturday in St. George on business. Mrs. LaPrele Cornelius and son of Hurricane have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Cornelius. Members of the stake board attending at-tending our Sunday school last Sunday were Miss Barbara Hir-schi Hir-schi and Webb Barber of Hurricane. |
