Show Transient Lunch Stands Warned of Health Rules Prospective investors in trailer and other transient lunch stands off canyon roads and at mountain crossroads are hereby warned by the Utah State Board of Health to guard against possible loss of such investment. The warning was released today by Lynn M. Thatcher, director of the Board's Division of Public Health Engineering En-gineering and Sanitation. These small stands will be required re-quired to comply with health regulations regu-lations governing regularly established esta-blished food and drink dispensaries, dispen-saries, Mr. Thatcher says, and it is quite evident that many of the hastily built, small stands now under construction will be unable to comply if completed according In nrr.cr.nt nlnns New regulations to be adopted I by the State Board of Ilf-alth regarding re-garding hotel and restaurant in-sepetion in-sepetion will require running hot and cold water. ?eparato toilets for men and women employees and modern, safe methods of glass and utensil sterilization. Local health officials in many Utah cities have already served notice on food stand operators that standard regulations will be enforced en-forced by their health departments, depart-ments, cooperating with the State Board of Health. Stands now operating will be given sufficient time to comply with standard regulations, but it is important, Mr. Thatcher says, to the adequate protection, not only of the health of Utah citizens, but of their visiting guests, that immediate steps be taken by all concerned to bring all food and drink dispensing facilities up to at least minimum standards of cleanliness. |
