Show Pintura Gives Complete Support To Soil Conservation Program The community of Pintura is actively supporting the Soil Conservation Con-servation district program, as everv land nwnpr hac c'irmnt Farmer District agreement with the La Verkin-Ash Creek District supervisors, reports Martin Anderson, Ander-son, chairman of the board. This brings all of the private land in this community under a program of proper land use necessary neces-sary to control erosion. "We would like the people of Pintura to know that the Board Of Supervisors is hip-hlv nloacoH with the fine cooperation manifested, mani-fested, and that they are one of the first communities in this section sec-tion to accept a complete erosion control plan for the entire community", com-munity", says R. C. Savage, secretary, sec-retary, who has handled all the applications for soil conservation assistance in this community. He also states that nearly 20 applications appli-cations have been received in Leeds, and he anticipates approximately approxi-mately 100 per cent of the land owners to cooperate with the District Dis-trict in this community. Practically all of the land owners on La Verkin creek have signed a cooperative agreement to conserve the land and protect it from soil erosion. In addition to the above mentioned men-tioned projects two others have been completed. The project of Archie Bringhurst on bank protection, pro-tection, to protect his farm and home from erosion where the La-Verkin La-Verkin creek has hn r; great deal of damage, has been completed. Also' the project of Will Bringhurst has been completed com-pleted up to the present time. A water facilities project is also being detailed for Pintura, reports Mr. Anderson, and construction operations are anticipated at an early date. |
