Show Santa Clara Miss Laura Gubler Reporter The last P.-T.A. meeting for the season was held Thursday, May 2. The program was given by a group from St. George under the direction of Grant Whitehead. It consisted of songs, readings and piano selections. Mr. Whitehead also discussed the feasibility of having an afternoon recreation class for the children to be held once a week. Mr. and Mrs. Val Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Hafen and two children left Sunday for Thacker-ville, Thacker-ville, Okla. for a 10 day visit with Mr. Rose's parents. Ernest Reber recently completed a reservoir on his farm for irrigating ir-rigating purposes. A crew of men poured 100 sacks of cement. Owen and Clayton Frei are. out at Carp, Nev. riding for cattle at the Frei and Hafen ranch. Mrs. Owen Frei accompanied them and is visiting her sister there. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Graff and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Graff spent several days in Los Angeles this week. Primary closed for the season with a children's dance at the Santa Rosa Pavilion Friday night. The Leavitts have just moved into their new home. They have as their guest, Mrs. Leavitt's sister, sis-ter, Verda Delang of Koosharem, Utah. Meriel Reber of Mesquite is spending the summer with Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Gates. Mrs. Landon Frei was entertained enter-tained at a birthday party Friday afternoon by a group of her neighborhood friends. The opening dance for the season sea-son at the Santa Rosa Pavilion was a big success. |
