Show Springdale Mrs. Jay Crawford Reporter Allen Strunk, who is head of the beautification committee, states that he is highly pleased with the results obtained last week in the town's clean-up program. The townspeople responded one hundred per cent in cleaning up rubbish around their home and on Saturday the Boy Scouts all turned out and hauled the rubbish rub-bish away. He expresses appreciation for the cooperation and says that when the state road commission have finished their work on the highway through town and the beautification program is carried on, that Springdale will be known as the beautiful south entrance to Zion Park. Saturday evening Stake Bee Hive Swarm day was held here. A very good time was enjoyed by all the girls and their mothers. The Springdale girls were hostesses hos-tesses and served lunch. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ruesch May 5. The baby died at birth. Mrs. Ruesch is getting along as well as can be expected. Several from here went to Orderville to attend the funeral services of Miss Covington. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Anderson of St. George spent Sunday with their daughter, Lillian Christen- 1 sen. They all motored to Orderville Order-ville in the afternoon. Joelyn, the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Justit has been quite sick for the past few days. |
