Show Nearly 400 Attend Memorial Services At Cemetery On Tuesday Evening, May 7 Nearly 400 people attended the memorial services held at the cemetery on last Tuesday, May 7, at 5:30 p.m. The services were under the direction of Councilman Council-man Joseph T. Atkin with L. J. Wadsworth as the principal speaker. Musical numbers were presented present-ed by the ladies trio comprised J of Mrs. Earl Cannon, Mrs. Pratt Miles and Mrs. William E. Baker. Also the brass quartet from the college and taps. The benediction was given by Chaplain Vernon Worthen of the American Legion. Satisfaction was expressed by those present at the amount of work that had been done at the cemetery. Many declared that they had never seen the grounds in as fine a condition as they are at the present time. |
