Show Wives of Postal Clerks Form Organization St. George can now boast of its N.F.P.O.C. Auxiliary. In other words, the wives of the postal clerks Monday officially joined the National Federation and applied ap-plied for their charter as Local No. 2350, St. George, Utah, with Mrs. Phillip Foremaster elected as president; Mrs. Byron H. Taylor, secretary-treasurer and Mrs. Lenzi Sullivan and Mrs. Mack Crandall, members. Mrs. William Brooks, Mrs. Leo G. Smith, Mrs. Ronald Cottam, Mrs. Ross Barton and Mabel Jarvis were accorded honorary memberships member-ships in the auxiliary. The organization was effected by Mrs. Emmett E. Irwin of Corona, Calif., first vice-president of the national organization, who made the trip to St. George in this interest. It is understood this is the seventh club to be organized organiz-ed in Utah. A luncheon at the Arrowhead hotel at 2 p.m. Monday honored Mrs. Irwin, who is official organizer or-ganizer of National district No. 1, comprising Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Plates were set for eight with sweet peas and roses combined in table decorations decora-tions and corsages. Plate favors were Southern Utah scenic folders tied to small cotton bags of Dixie sugar beet seed. Following the luncheon a brief business meeting was held at the George H. Seegmiller home where the organization was completed. |
