Show Petroleum classes offered at UBAVC The petroleum program at the Uintah Basin Area Vocational Center will be offering classes in both the day and evening programs. During the daily program, classes are offered from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Courses to- be covered during the daytime program will include: in-clude: formation evaluation, well completion, com-pletion, production techniques, instrumentation in-strumentation and control and environment environ-ment and safety. Instructors for the program are Bruce Brighton, director of the petroleum program and Dr. Joe Richards. Both instructors recently returned from a specialized training program in Houston, Texas where they received advanced training. According to Mr. Brighton, "We were pleased with the opportunity to attend this training program. It helped us prepare to meet the needs of students even more. We are looking forward to a very successful suc-cessful quarter." Evening classes will also be available through the petroleum technology program. pro-gram. The evening classes run from 7-10 p.m. and are scheduled as follows: Mondays, Petroleum Math; Tuesdays, Rotary Drilling; Wednesdays, Instrumentation In-strumentation and Control; and Thursdays, Production Techniques. If eggshells stick to the carton, don't despair! Just wet the box and the eggs can be easily removed without with-out cracking the shells. |
