Show CHRISTMAS WREATH is easily converted into a New Year's wreath with a little imagination and work. Wreaih can express New Year's greetings A straw or stryofoam Christmas wreath can be changed to give New Year's Eve wishes to your party guests. Simply remove the Christmas decor from the wreath and tie on New Years wishes written on tiny scrolls. Add a bow or a bunch of balloons, hang it on your door and you have a New Years wreath. As each guest arrives have them untie a New Years wish from the wreath. Wishes could include postive thoughts such as "During '82 you shall prosper ten fold," or "Happiness will be yours in 1982." How about "A new love will enter your life in '82," which no doubt would be taken by the most happily married couple invited; or "In '82 you will lose 50 pounds," could be interesting. Know your guests and make wishes to fit your group. Perhaps "You will enjoy interplanetary travel in 1982," or "Reagonomics will catch up with you in '82" may be appropriate. Of course, have each guest read his New Year's fortune to the others present. Another idea for wishing your New Years Eve guests good luck in 1982 is with balloons. Before blowing the balloons up, place a wish inside each one on a small rolled up piece of paper. Decorate the tables or room with the balloons and at an appointed time during the evening have each guest pop a balloon and share his New Years wish. |
