Jon Heaton, head of the t Activity Committee in the Mutual and Elaine Shisler and Kriss Heaton planned it. James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jorden, had his missionary farewell last Sunday in Ballard North Ward Sacrament meeting. He will be in the MTC for two months learning the Cantonese language before leaving for Hong Kong. James' grandfather Alfred Jorden of Salt Lake City was here for the occasion and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wilkins of Layton were also here. ' Mr. and Mrs. William Murray and three children of Gusher spent three days of the Christmas holidays at Rifle, Colo. They visited Mrs. Murray's mother Norma Hendricks at Silt, Colo. Laurel Layton and little son are here visiting her parents Roll and Velva Williams for a week. Her husband is a teacher and coach at Auston, Nev. high school. Mr. and Mrs. William Murray and two children of Tooele are moving into the Violet Butcher trailer home. William is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Murray who run the Murray Store in Gusher. Two awards were given in Ballard Ward last Sunday. Tracy Scott graduated from Primary and Kamme Womack received the Young Womens Recognition Award from the Mutual. 'The Stanley Womack ( Sr. family had a family Christmas dinner with all of their family with them. |
