Also planned on the menu is: potato salad; baked beans; peas and carrots; green and jello salads and coconut cream pie. Don't miss this dinner, Monday, June 16 at 12:30 p.m. During intermission Friday night, Ellen Carrion surprised her husband, David, with a huge birthday cake. The dancers enjoyed the cake with David and Ellen. Happy birthday was sung to David, along with Marcella Roper, Lola Aguilar and Dick Ufford. We wish all these great people many more happy birthdays. We sure were glad to see our drummer ,Vena Wardell back. Merle Horrocks had her cast removed from her foot two weeks ago. Her foot had not healed so the cast was replaced for another five weeks. We wish Merle a speedy recovery. We miss her and Ronald at our dances. A big wedding dance coming up watch the paper next week for the news. See you all Friday. Monday June 9, 120 Senior Citizens enjoyed the roast beef dinner at the Golden Age Center. We would like to thank our three fine cooks, Ada Murray, Merle Eaton and Marion Swain. Also we would like to thank . Fadellice Hatch, for all the time she spent in preparing our delicious food. Fadellice we sure miss you here at the Center and hope you will get feeling better, so you can return. All of our cooks put many hours into preparing all the food for our dinners, and they all do a very fine job. Bingo winner for the week of June 3 was Lillian Westwood, with five games. Second was a tie between Lena Mast and Anna Pierson both with four games. Third was also a tie, Edith Gale and Elvira Slaugh with three games each. If you get tired of the same old routine, get out of t"he house, come and play bingo every Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. If you are in need of .a ride, call the Golden Age Center, 789-2169.
